I have recently purchased an ASRock Z87 Extreme6 with an Intel I7-4790, 16GB (2x8) DDR3 Crucial Ballistix, with a Corsair CX750M. When I power up the system, I see nothing. The Dr.Debug code that is shown on the motherboard is 00, which refers to a CPU that was not installed properly. I have re-set the CPU several times, cleared the CMOS, but yet every single time I try to boot the system just shows a blank screen. Any ideas/help?

Solution
Would guess your BIOS isn't up to date and ready for the 4790 (which is the Devils Canyon or Haswell refresh CPU), need minimum of BIOS ver 2.20

Make sure that the CPU is locked into place really good with the socket lock arm. I actually messed up on this today on my build and it wouldn't boot either. Turns out I forgot to lock my CPU into place. lol. Try that.
