If you're not going to be doing video editing or anything an i5 will do better than the 8350. Something to consider.

Intel Build:

love both builds.

would you say the amd build can handle arma 3 and such games at a decent fps, in 1080p?

My opinion: For gaming alone, Intel generally does better due to their single thread superiority. If you're going to be doing a bit of video editing, 3d rendering, live streaming, then go with AMD. The FX 8320/8350 does also take more power for a good stable system compared to an i5 build, which would result in some slight more expensive parts for the motherboard (at least one that will handle a decent overclock) and the PSU (more power for a bit more headroom). I'm not sure how the fx 8320/8350 does in arma III so someone would have to give the information on that. But either cpu would do fine in gaming.
