I am in the process of gathering parts to build a new PC. I currently have an AMD Phenom II X4 945. Doing some research, I've been eying the Intel G3258. I don't do much heavy gaming, but I do some programming on the side. Other than I use productivity applications such as Evernote and the Microsoft Office Suite. I do watch Netflix here and there, and YouTube. I don't do any heavy CPU tasks such as converting movies, etc.
I was wondering what TH thinks of upgrading from an AMD Phenom II X4 945 to an Intel G3258? I've read that the G3258 is easily overclock-able with the stock cooler. Saving money would be ideal, of course.
