So... Yeah...
I kinda messed up. Bad.
See, I have experience with computers. I've built my own, assembled other people's, fixed hardware issues, and even taught myself LUA.
So I'm pretty computer literate. So I decided, "Hey. My wires are all bundled up right beside the motherboard. This thing is gonna overheat. Let's clean up the wires a bit!"
So I did. I unbundled everything, used zip ties to tie different pieces behind the case in designated spots, and moved my cathode switch to the front.
While doing this I had to unplug almost everything. Then replug it. Don't even ask, I made sure to plug EVERYTHING back in in the right place.
When I was done, I accidentally broke the cathode's inner tube, so I unplugged it and the converter and threw the cathode out. Switch stays in the frame. It was hell to set up.
And then, I just had to start the computer, didn't I?
My MSI Stability Mainboard start screen comes up, it does it's normal beep, and then goes black with one little white bar up in the top left corner blinking.
"Ahh! It's starting perfectly."
Then it flashed "Graphics Console..." I can never read the rest. It flashes so quick. I think the last word is "Disabled." It then does some more blinking with the command prompt cursor, and then I get a surprise. It says something like "2.2 TB Infinity" and tells me I can press any key to enter boot menu. And then, it says that awful, AWFUL message.
"No bootable device. Press any key to reset."
If I press a key, it does just that. Resets. It turns off, and does it all again.
I've tried different SATA cables, both power and data ones, and nothing has changed. Even found out the data cable was broken. Chip was taken out of it.
But nothing has worked. I have a year and a half worth of work on this computer, and no backups. Don't have any spare hard drives or disks to backup on to!
The worst part is I no longer have my windows 7 disk!
I'm worried that I've just lost everything.
