Wireless card won't connect to networks or detect them

I bought two brand new wireless cards from Asus and when I installed one in my pc it wouldn't detect any networks. I tried to manually connect to my Wi-Fi network but it still wouldn't connect. When I rebooted my pc it said that certain drivers had not been installed. Does anyone know how to fix this

Yes, twice

And when I use the software it says to press the WPS button on my router and when I do it says that it is out of range. My apartment is too small for a router that is used for full building Wifi most of the time
