Hi, I just purchased this SSD.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148821&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
It has not arrived yet but I am just wondering what driver or controller to use for it to work optimally. Currently I am using the marvell drivers for my hdd. Should I use them for SSD also? Is marvel best one to use for HDD?

Thanks :).

It will depend on what MB you have for best performance. If you have an late Intel platform it probably has a better SATA III controller than the Marvel. Let me know the MB you will be using.
Btw, when you go to install your new SSD, will you be doing a fresh install of Win7/8 or cloning the old HDD?

My MB is the asus sabertooth x79. I installed the SSD on the Intel 6gb/s controller a couple minutes ago. I booted up now and installing some software that came with the SSD. After that I will be using crystaldisk to test its speeds. I was originally planning on cloning an HDD but I decided not to. I will do a clean install of windows 8.
