I have always noticed people using WAN port on router to connect with ADSL modem...
I wish to know why it will not work using one of LAN port on router and changing the ip of router to match the range of Gateway/ADSL modem.(Just as we make the router to work as AP) Other three ports on router will be connected to PC/LAPTOP just like we use SWITCH
Please tell me what are benefits of connecting this ADSL to WAN port and drawbacks if connected to LAN Port
