I really need internet on my windows xp desktop computer. My only hope is to use my android zte v795 smartphone's USB TETHERING capabilities to get internet onto my computer. For some reason though, when ever I select usb tethering, It does not recognize my phone... it does NOT connect to the internet... it doesn't even show my phone as a device in the device manager panel. :(  It DOES however work, when I use the storage aspect of it. Please can anyone help me? I can provide as much information as you need. I have 3 hours until work tomorrow, I really want to get this working now. Please help, thanks.

UPDATE: Ok so I went into usb debugging mode and installed some drivers and hardware from my phone onto my computer.. it seems to recognize it, because when i go into internet connections, it has a connection called: Tether Network Connection. But there's problem. My phone's tethering is enabled, but the connection it self isnt working or getting access to the internet :(  any ideas?

I could never get the built in tethering thing to work on mine, but PdaNet works fine. You could try out their free version
