So i have just received all the parts for my new pc and am building it. I know how to make a windows 8 boot drive with a USB, but im not sure where to get the iso file.

If i buy Windows 8 Pro - Student off the Microsoft Store will it give me the iso file or just some installer type thing (it says it is for upgrading to windows 8 from XP, etc.)

If it wont give me an iso, how can i get it one legally?
Cheers :p

The one that says UPGRADE means YOU NEED TO HAVE A WINDOWS INSTALLED (old Windows like XP, Vista or 7) ALREADY. You can't start NEW with it. You would need to buy a System Builder's Edition of Windows OR just head to your local Big Box store and grab a copy off the shelf.

Just remember RULE #1: Windows does NOT matter in a system build. You BUILD your PC to BIOS. Testing each part to BIOS, making sure it is seen as intended in BIOS, and can boot to BIOS each time. Did I mention your testing with BIOS not Windows? LOL. Once the hardware can all 'boot' correctly, THEN last thing worry about installing Windows. Windows is NOT your test for success, BIOS is.
