I have after months of searching decided on this build:
PCPartPicker part list: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/n77Qcf
CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor (£97.00 @ Scan.co.uk) Motherboard: ??? Between £40 and £65
Memory: Patriot Signature 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£52.98 @ Ebuyer)
Storage: Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£44.94 @ CCL Computers)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 2GB Dual-X Video Card (£119.00 @ Amazon UK)
Case: BitFenix Neos Black/Silver ATX Mid Tower Case (£29.99 @ Aria PC)
Power Supply: EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (£42.98 @ Amazon UK)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-14 DVD/CD Writer (£11.09 @ Aria PC)
Originally I had been looking at the MSI 970A-G43 but i have read reports of it overheating and even frying the CPU with anything over the fx-6300.
The same problem appears to happen with some other budget boards.
