97% GPU Load on Idle

It's been a few days since this problem first occurred. I noticed by playing games and having an unexplained massive FPS drop, which had never happened before. I try to look it up and I'm advised to get GPU-Z(gpu monitoring software) to check how my GPU's behaving. I'm getting about 97% GPU Load on Idle and 99% when playing a game. I do some research and it turns out what causes this often is some kind of malware, especially bitcoin miner malwares. I proceed to download Malwarebytes and run it for a scan. Malwarebytes detects a lot of threats and quarantines them. At this point my problem got pretty much fixed, GPU Load got back to normal and I was able to use my pc properly. This however, only for the rest of the day. The next day the problem reappears, so normally I run Malwarebytes for a scan again but no threats are detected. I redo scans for a few more time but to no avail. I'm pretty much left out of options now and I'm in dire need of help since I'm unable to use my pc the way it should be run.

Any kind of help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance :)

Solution
scan with something else. malwarebytes isn't the only program out there.

does seem like sort of mining going on to be using your gpu up like that.

It definitely sounds like someone is mining your GPU.
Malwarebytes SHOULD have detected it.
If it's happening again, and you can't detect it anymore, it sounds like the hacker has a direct connection to you to implant a better virus.

I manually fixed it. Monitored processes on Task Manager for any strange activities, and after a while I noticed there popped up another steam.exe that shouldn't have been there. Cut the process and GPU Load turned back to normal. So I tracked the process which led me to the file where the virus laid. Got rid of the whole file and this fixed it all.

Thanks everyone, you've all been a great help and I'm really grateful :)
