Does this mean I don't need a network card?

Solution
Onboard ethernet only means a port for plugging in an ethernet cable. To connect wirelessly without a separate card or usb wifi adapter, you'd need one that lists "onboard wi-fi" on the store page or manufacturer specs. PCPartPicker doesn't list that in the specifications, but the model name will often include "wifi" and you can look at the rear panel pictures for an antenna connector. Here's one that has onboard wifi so you can see what that looks like: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-gaz97nwifi
