Both of the ram (old and new) frequency are 1333MHz

I have a dumb question. i cant tell with those stickers but they both look like 1333 4gb sticks? so why are you replacing them?

However Ram is notorious for being DOA even when new. Sounds like you just have a bad stick there. I would return/replace it

I wanted to upgrade my memory to 8gb. So i took a picture of my ram (old picture) and show it to the computer shop. Then they ask me is this 16 chip or 8 chip (those black box on the ram). I told them I'm not too sure and so I bought the 8 chips ver. When I reach home, I check my old ram and it wasn't the same. My old ramis 16 chip while my new ram is 8 chip. I didn't do anything after that and the next day I went to the shop again and bought the same ram i bought yesterday. I ask to change but they can't accept it. Bring back home take out the old ram and replace it with the new rams. Press ON button. Everything lights up and all of sudden shutdown. Double check everything insert properly. ON again. Lights up and all of sudden shutdown. I tried one ram, tried the other ram, change the frequency to 1333mhz but nothing change. I decided to take out the new ram and replace it with an old ram back. Power ON. The computer went back to normal.
