I recently decided to build my own PC. Here are the specs.

CPU: i7 3770
MotherBoard: Asus P8Z68-V Gen 3
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8)
HD: Seagate STCL2000400
PSU: A random psu i got from another working pc in my house (620w)

The problem with this is that when i press the power button the system turns on for about 3 seconds then shuts down and does it all over again. I see the "CPU_Led" and the "MemOk" led blinking, but i can't see anything on my monitor. Though i noticed that when i take all of the ram cards out of the slots, the system turns on all the fans spin and it does not reboot (obviously nothing shows up on the screen because theres no ram).

This is what i already tried to do:
•Move the "CLRTC" thing from 1 and 2 to 2 and 3.
•Use only one RAM card for startup (i tried putting it in all the slots)
•Use the anti-static wrap to isolate the motherboard from the case
•Use a Graphics card to connect it to the screen to see if i could see anything.
•Remove all RAM cards from slots (system boots up but nothing on screen)
•Check if there were any bent pins on the motherboard's CPU compartment.
•Connected only the 24 PSU pins to the Motherboard
•Connected the 24 + the other 8 to the Motherboard

I've heard people saying that my Motherboard needs a bios update because the ivy bridge cpus are not supported. Is it true? Anyway i wanted to flash my Motherboard, so what i did was download the bios update and put it on a USB. The other problem is, even if I wanted to update my Motherboard how am i supposed to do it since the computer doesn't turn on. I mean, if i want to flash my Motherboard how can i do that without nothing showing up on my screen.

Is there any way i can solve my issues?
Installing the update?
Stopping it from rebooting?

Am i supposed to buy another CPU? Because that would just be ridiculous.

That is the only way to update the BIOS, yes.

This is research that should have been done before you bought the motherboard.

What is the PSU. Chances are you need a new one as well. Antec, XFX, Seasonic is what you want.

RAM issues can be caused by bent CPU pins. You need to make sure NONE of the CPU pins are bent. Once you do that and get a proper PSU, we can go on.

This is what there's written on the PSU.

I'm was going to get a new PSU anyway, i was thinking about the Corsair CX600M. But do you seriously think the PSU can be the problem? Why?

Here's a more closeup image of the pins. They seem alright to me.

I'm going to bring the motherboard to a computer parts shop so that they'll change the cpu just to make the update. I don't understand how the PSU could not be powering some components? All of the pins are connected and 600w should be enough anyway.

The quality of the unit is what matters.

That PSU has 2 12v rains and combined it makes only 22a. A quality 600w unit will make 35a or more on the 12v rail. This should be fine for your system with no GPU, but will certainly not be enough once you add any form of GPU.

A PSU is the single most important part of a PC and is never to be cheaped out on. a junk unit can easily fry the computer.

Ok so what exact PSU do you suggest?
