Hi folks

I have finally made my choice of parts for my first build ever. This will be for a non gaming PC used for general activities (no video editing either).

I would like you folks to look these parts over to make sure that there are no incompatibilities between the parts before I order them.

I want a good quality rig with some future upgrade possibilities. I would like this PC to be good for the next 5 years.

Your comments would be appreciated. But please check for incompatibilies should there be any. It is easier to make sure of this before rather than having to RMA parts once they are ordered.

Solution
Keep the same motherboard and get in i3 4150.

Yes, the motherboard will support an i5 or an i7, but an i3 is plenty of power for just a general use machine. No point for an i5 or i7.

Thank you for your suggestions. I changed for the same PSU but the 450 watts version. I definitely want a Seasonic PSU (read so many good reviews on Seasonic) and I want it to be modular or semi-modular since I am going to build a computer for the first time. I do not want to be stuck with all kinds of wire to manage. Not for the first time anyway.

I am mulling over the i3 however. Of course we would all like to have the most powerful i7 CPU in our PC but cost is something that we must take into consideration. If you tell me that an i3 would make a very noticeable difference, then I can stretch the budget but then we're talking another $50.

Are you positive that the memory is OK for that motherboard and that there are no other incompatibilities anywhere ?

Thanks

Which i3 do you recommend and will the mobo accomodate it ? Will the mobo accomodate an i5 or i7 if later on, I want more powerful CPU's ? I think so but like you to confirm.

Thanks
