I am currently building a gaming rig which will become my entertainment centre and used for music recording and potentially video editing on top of that. I have all the equipment for a recoding studio set up so thats not a problem.

I would just like you guys to have a look at what I've got so far and see what changes or recommendations you like to make.

This is my build that I'm busy planning:

I want to stick with the 4930k but open to suggestions.

The GPU I was wondering whether to get the GTX 780 6gb or the GTX 780Ti 3gb?

Also I've been looking the X79 deluxe board which I really like and is a hell of a lot cheaper than the Rampage IV black edition. Also, seems a bit more feature rich?

I have included a closed loop liquid cooling. I plan on doing some over clocking but not to the extreme and couldn't warrant the extra price for a water cooling unit. If i do water cooling I want to go all out and spend a decent amount.

Apart from that I'm open to anything! The PSU is a bit over kill but in the future I might SLI so going for the "future proof" idea.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I can max watchdogs on one 1080p monitor with 2gb Vram and the usage never goes over 1.8gb. People REALLY like to exaggerate things.

You won't do three-way SLI. I promise. You will have no use for it and three-way SLI doesn't give good returns anyway. 850 is plenty for 2-eay SLI, which is all you will ever do. You won't really even need that if you get a single 780ti, as it is stupid overkill for a single monitor and will max all games for a LONG time.

XFX has fully modular PSUs. As does Antec and Seasonic. All brands I strongly recommend over Corsair.
You are wasting SO much money for no performance gains.

Get a normal old i7 4790k. This will still be WAY more than you need.

Use all the saved money to get a gtx780ti. You have no use for 6gb Vram unless you play across 3 monitors or at 4k.

Get 850w not 1000w and do not get a Corsair RM, CSM, CX unit. Go XFX for this one.

Thanks for the advice, I read some where that games like Watch_dogs exceeds 3gb VRAM very quickly on one monitor, i'm not sure how true this is. Will 850 watt be enough is i do three way SLI? One thing i did like about the corsair is the modular design, that's one thing I do want in a PSU.

Ah right I shall look into those PSU's. What do you think about the motherboard choice?

tiny voices' advice is really good. The MSI Z97 Gaming 5, 7 or 9 AC are all great motherboards in general, and for OCing an i7 4790K. The ASUS ROG Z97 Ranger or Hero are even better.

The EVGA Supernova 850W is the best value 850W PSU out right now, and has better ripple suppression and voltage regulation than any other brand/unit. It's also silent until pushed to around 550W. Go for that I reckon. It will allow you to run 3 780ti's in the future if you wish. :)

The 780ti 3GB is a better choice than the 780 6GB, especially if you are going to SLI later on. :)
