Intel i3 Heasink - Good for Xeon 1230v3

Hi,

I just bought a Xeon 1230v3 for $145 on eBay (WAY cheap) and I have an i3 now. How will the i3's cooler cool the Xeon, and should I get one of the i5/i7 copper core Intel coolers?

Thanks!

I think the i3 cooler might keep it under max temps. But the Seidon would work great for that chip. It might not cool quite as well as some of the high-end air coolers, but you won't be overclocking, and it will fit your RAM sticks better. Seems like a good way to go, especially for the money.

Thanks for the input!
I have a mini-itx build and I have to go low profile. Should I get this: http://www.amazon.com/Intel-E97378-001-Lga1155-Aluminum-Heatsink/dp/B005B8SNQE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1406826722&sr=8-1&keywords=intel+heatsink

Or is that not anything better than the pure-aluminum i3 heatsink?

Thank you for the help everyone!

I have a Cooler Master Elite 130, and things are tight down there, so I will probably be wanting just an Intel cooler or water cooling.

Thank you Eggz for the recommendations, but wow, those are kind of expensive, and my normal sized RAM will probably get in the way. Thank you though!

On this PC, I plan on doing light day-to-day browsing, some gaming like Minecraft and GRID 2, and some old, old games, and a lot of Linux stuff. Do you think the i3's cooler will do it, or is it worth getting something like this?
