ok I am trying to install lubuntu 14.04 32 bit on my older lenovo and when i hit install there will be lubuntu and on the bottom the 5 loading dots and then after some time it suddenly turns black and nothing happens then I have to restart. Its frustrating the crap out of me. People say that force the pae and i have a pentium dual core but nobody has clear answer on how to do this. Please help me out I really want to install this. I used windows disc image burner which was fine when i installed the ubuntu server and i put it on another computer. Plus I used a a cd rom disc. Any help will be appreciated!!! :bounce:

Does Ubuntu still offer the alternative install iso? This may be one option if they do still offer it.

Edit; try pressing F4 after rebooting and choose safe graphics mode. I think you can enter safe graphics mode when installing, sorry been a while since I have had to use that feature.

Did you check the ISO md5? If you have a Windows machine then just download the tiny md5 file from the same source you used to obtain the linux ISO and use something like WinMD5 to check it. Maybe your Lubuntu ISO is just damaged...

BTW - does the live mode work? You can run installer from it too :-)
