hi again guys. yesterday i upgraded my system to amd fx 6300 and this motherboard - http://www.flipkart.com/gigabyte-ga-78lmt-usb3-motherboard/p/itmdeg8jwxzjap4f?pid=MBDDEG8JWXZJAP4F&srno=b_3&ref=ec6cef54-eb2e-4074-9ed2-7ed7d8e5858e. everything seems fine but my windows 64bit is not recognizing realtek audio drivers. i downloaded and installed the right drivers for the rev. 5.0 (my mobo version) after tweaking around with unsigned drivers. even though i was able to install them, the drivers dont show up in device manager and sound settings. it does show in control panel though. i dont like the onboard via audio drivers that come with this mobo. ay idea what is wrong here?

Solution

The previous versions of that board went with Realtek. But for some reason Gigabyte switched to VIA for that version. They're both good audio chips. Realtek just has a bigger marketing budget, apparently.
