Need Help! - Crossfire R9 280X No Performance Increase

I just installed my second MSI R9 280X 3G into my system. I was expecting an increase in in-game FPS but the FPS averages about the same as without Crossfire. I don't believe that it is due to overheating because both cards have not exceeded 80 Degrees.

System Info

Mobo: ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0
CPU: FX-9370
GPU: MSI R9 280X 3G (x2)
PSU: CORSAIR RM Series RM850 850W
RAM: G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)
OS: Windows 8.1

Nothing in my system is OC.

Please Help!

Did you connect the CF bridge? Did you connect all the power cables? Did you enable CF in CCC? Are you sure that the games support CF?

The CF Bridge is on. All the power cables are connected. CF is enabled in CCC. Afterburner says that i have Crossfire enabled. And i have the option in CCC " Enable AMD CrossfireX for applications that have no associated application profile" checked.

What games are we talking about? What is your CPU/RAM/VRAM usage while gaming? What about the CPU temps?

I normally play Battlefield 4, World of Tanks, and Warthunder. My CPU's Max temp in game is 50-60 Degrees. My CPU Usage in-game is 90-95%. My RAM usage is about 6 GB. And my VRAM usage is 3.5GB on my first GPU according to Afterburner. Afterburner doesn't show my second GPU's usage.

Actually CPU usage fluctuates from around 70-90%. 95% is the max.

That CPU usage seems too high, download Malwarebytes and use it scan your system for infections.

I have Norton should i run a full system scan? Also should my GPU usage be 100% while playing?

Both GPUs should be 100% used in an ideal situation. You can try Norton, but I'd use Malwarebytes too, that way you can be almost sure that there are no infections in your PC.

Install the latest drivers for your motherboard and GPU. If that doesn't help, get GPU-Z and post screenshots of the different tabs: http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/
