Well I purchased an ASUS Maximus VII Motherboard along with a bundle of other hardware (PC Build:http://pcpartpicker.com/user/xNightCaster/saved/ZRTPxr). All of the parts looked to be in perfect working condition accept for the motherboard.
First off, the motherboards packaging came with two easily noticeable dents on the front side of the box, I continued my inspection to find that the surrounding components on the motherboard were also noticeably scratched, I ignored this because it did not cause a major issue to me, I went ahead and began assembling my computer, when finishing my build I turned the computer on to find it repetitively switching on and off continuously. I contacted ASUS about the problem and told me that it is most likely either a motherboard or CPU problem, I started disassembling the computer and eventually found out that there were 4 slightly bent pins on the cpu socket, I successfully filed an RMA for the motherboard and the CPU (for safe measures) and sent both items back to Newegg, the RMA for my CPU processed just fine and are currently sending me a replacement as I'm typing this, but denied the RMA for my motherboard.
This is what they sent me:
Unfortunately, the below item(s) was physically damaged beyond the applicable Newegg.com warranty coverage as indicated in our Standard Warranty Policy.
The motherboard was received with apparent end-user caused physical damage to the CPU socket contact pins. Items received with physical damage cannot be processed by Newegg and void our return policy. You will need to contact the product manufacturer for direct support.
For further assistance, we recommend contacting the manufacturer directly to see if they can offer repair or replacement of the item(s) under the manufacturer warranty. Please use the following link to find the contact info for any manufacturer whose items we carry: Contact Manufacturer.
We greatly apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and thank you for your patience and understanding. The item(s) are currently being shipped back to you and should arrive in approximately 5 - 10 business days.
I called new egg after receiving this email to state that the motherboard has already arrived with multiple damages along with the bent pins. They replied that they could not approve my RMA and suggested that I contact ASUS.
I contacted ASUS and basically told me that my warranty does not cover physical damage and that I try contacting Newegg AGAIN (which I already had done twice)...
What should I do???
Thank You for the help.
