Opinions on sub 450$ build. Also question on overclocking.

Hello there, I was just wanted opinions on this system that I built. I want to over clock the CPU so that I can get it to 4.0 - 4.5. Will I be able to over clock with the PSU and the mother board or will I have to get a better PSU or motherboard. This is my first time overclocking and I might use the Asus software for overclocking because I heard it works really well. This is a build for a friend.

the only thing wrong is your motherboard. you need a z97 chipset instead of h81 so you can overclock. itll cost you about $30 more but if you can't afford it you could maybe drop the cpu cooler and add it back in later.

Also i'm guessing you have a hard drive and windows already as it wasn't included in the build.

Also if your motherboard only has 2 ram slots you will want 1 4gb stick instead of 2 2GB ones.
Later down the road you will want to add another 4GB of RAM

You got a pretty good build though. the pentium G 4GB of ram and gtx 750 will do well in pretty much any game.

I heard about the z97 thing but i heard that you could update the Bios and you could overclock with that board.

Really? is that all gigabyte boards or just that one? I have a Gigabyte H77 mobo but I can only overclock to the turbo boost, if i could update bios to overclock a little more that would be awesome.

I thought only Z boards overclocked well.

What I heard was that you need to update the bios to F5 BIOS or something and then you can overclock

I researched the bios thing and it turns out that you could do it but Intel blocked it on some motherboards. I just decided to change the board to a z97 chip set and its still under 450 so im happy.
