Hi all, I don't know much about networks and I'm really struggling with getting a decent transfer speed when moving files to from my PC to the NAS. I'm getting about 9MB/s, so I changed the router to a gigabit network and now I get 3MB/s. Is there something in the router settings I need to change? Also how do I check the NAS drive connection speed?

What is the router??
What are you transfering from? A computer network is only as fast as the slowest piece of hardware in the path, if all networking equipment between the pc and the nas is gigabit it will run gigabit, if one is 10/100 it will run 100mbps.

Unfortunatly Zyxel is cheap for reason, they have poor build quality and it might just be because of that.
