i would like to upgrade from a powercolor 7850 v2.....

i want to upgrade to nvidia as amd has been giving me driver problems and i have had them for too long.....

budget: $250

resolution played at: 1080p

Easily, a GTX 760 for that budget. All brands are around 239 - 259 so pick the brand you like best. If you need assistance choosing a brand go by this guideline
For warranty/support go with EVGA
For low noise go with ASUS
For cool temperatures go with Gigabyte / MSI
For a mix of everything, go with MSI.

MSI's Twin Frozr 4 on the GTX 760 is outstanding, my buddys runs super quiet and never gets above 60 celcius.
