So, the thing is I own an XFX r9 270x GPU, which I dont find enough for my viewport needs in 3ds max mainly, but more than enough for my actual gaming needs. So I think of getting a low-to-mid level quadro card (say from K600 to K4000, depending on my next month salary!), but after much reading, I decided having those GPU working simultaneously was too much of a drag, and I don't really have the time to solve the issues that are likely to come up by using both drivers, as much fun as it may be!.
So, I was thinking... could my solution be having a Windows 8 installed in two separate hdd, and set up drivers and such for each GPU in a different drive, and install the softwares that would benefit the most from each GPU (i.e. boot from the hdd that has nvidia drivers to use 3ds max and boot from the other one to play games from the r9 270x). It seems like a simple solution, but now its late and I am tired so I reach out to you for telling me what the issues might be!
Thanks!
