Ok,acctually I am buying the same stuff for me,I looked up the fps that people had,and the results were really good, you can get playable experience(35-50 fps) on Ultra settings Battlefield 4,and Minecraft would just run perfectly smooth, and mods would have no problem loading perfectly, but if you plan to put really a lot of mods into it,the ram could be the bottleneck since its 8gb,but considering the price and performance results...it is a very good investment

I'd honestly go with an intel build to each his own.
The R9 270X will be just fine for gaming of any sort.

The Cpu is really good, but I can't say the same with the Graphics Card. :(

you dont have to run battlefield on ultra to have an excellent experience, it really takes frame shot stills to see some of the differences in shadow nuances between high and ultra. at 1080p the 270x will provide a very good experience in any game currently made. minecraft is completely cpu bound and will run at roughly 150fps on an intel i5-4670 using the built in hd4600 graphics.... with any new gpu it will just be overkill.

Just got a r9 270x toxic boost and battlefield 4 I get 60fps on ultra all day long. When you get the card install the software, then once running go to and site and the update, this will install a better amd control suite. Launch games from there, it will assess performance and help tweak out the best performance. I haven't done this yet but I think this should improve fps even further.
