If I don't choose where it'll automatically go to my SSD, is there a way to make it install to my HDD by default so that I don't have to change it everytime I install something?

Basically I want it to automatically install to the HDD unless I choose otherwise.
Its 128gb and whatever I want like games so that it'll go straight to the HDD unless I want to change the location to the SSD by choosing to install it there

OK...for games, especially Steam or Origin, you can specify alternate locations directly in the Steam/Origin client.
For all your applications, a 128GB drive can actually hold a LOT of applications.

I know you can specify the location but is there a way to make it so that if I don't choose it'll go straight to D:instead of C: (SSD) for example

In the Steam client, if you only have one location (D)...that's where it will go.

As said, many things you want to be installed on the OS drive. Like browsers.
For anything else, just choose Custom or Advanced during the install.
BONUS: You get to deselect the additional toolbars and other crap many applications come with if you let it default install.

My 128GB SSD has the OS and ALL applications apart from games installed on it. And I have quite a lot of applications.
Currently, ~61GB used space.
