Hey y'all! I'm still a noob with computers so bare with me please. I just built my first ever gaming computer! http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Tg8CFT

What should I do to it to get it running the best and be optimized for games? Right now specifically skyrim. I have norton 360 2014 on it also I couldn't add that to pcpartpicker.

ah well, in that case it's good. Run a few bench marks like 3DMark11 and Ugine Valley etc and you'll be able to compare it with other builds.

Regarding the mobo, although you can't o/c your CPU, it still allows you to go for dual GPU in the future.

You don't need to optimise it for games. It just works.

You can try overclocking your GPU, but not really for noobs, until you've read a lot about it and fully understand it. The GTX 780 should be ok for most games at 144Hz, although you'll probably not maintain that always.
Was there a reason for going above a 60Hz monitor?
