HD 6970 CF or GTX 760?

My friend already has a HD 6970 and he is doing major upgrades to his PC. He is considering buying another HD 6970 (really good price/performance) or swapping it out for a GTX 760. The two HD 6970s will cost $230 total and the GTX 760 is $240. I know 2 cards in crossfire will beat almost every single GPU, but the HD 6970 is like 2 generations old and could become outdated soon.
