Low Frames When Recording Minecraft in Dxtory

So I record my PC games with Dxtory. Usually it will record my video at 30 frames per second while allowing me to play the game at anything above 30. I get above 60 frames when I record any game.

For some reason now whenever I try to record Minecraft, it lowers the recording framerate and in-game framerate so they are the same. The frames for both dip down to <20 FPS. Not really sure why this happens but I am linking a video showing what happens in real time and my settings for both Minecraft and Dxtory.

Here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxxFpjbhVQo&feature=youtu.be

This could be a Minecraft problem but I'm not sure so if you have any info or solution I would greatly appreciate it :)

Thanks!

Solution
Dxtory Video Codec is very demanding. Install Lagarith Lossless Codec, select it in Dxtory, press on a little pen icon to enter codec configuration tab, turn on Multi-Threading and switch mode to YV12.

This should improve your recording performance.

Are you an AMD Graphics Card user? If you are this is a known issue lately in Minecraft and 14.4 AMD drivers. The only solution is rolling back to 13.X (X=any) version drivers.

If you are not AMD GPU user, then it's possible your Hard Drive is failing.

Actually I don't know how to roll back twice because when I rolled back once it put me to 14.1. How can I roll back again?

First remove current AMD Catalyst from your PC. Go to Control Panel - Programs and Features - Find and remove AMD software.

Then Download and Install this: AMD Catalyst 13.12 for Windows 7 x64. After you install it, don't let it to automatically update to latest version at least not until you confirm whenever or not drivers were causing your Minecraft issues with Dxtory.

Yup that seemed to do the trick. The problem now is that I get a lot of FPS lag, just rapidly changing FPS. It goes up and down really fast :/

With what video codec do you record with? At how many frames per second and what resolution? Preferably to know your recording hard drive speed too (Dxtory can benchmark HDD).

Just checked my CPU write speed it varies from like 80 - 120. I use Dxtory Video Codec at 30 FPS 1280x720
