So here's the deal: I currently have installed an Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe motherboard, but I have a problem, I can't use more the 3 slot of ram or I get blue screen. No matter which 1 of the 4 ram I use, no matter which slot I put them in, if I use all of them, I just get blue screen, so I run with 12gb instead of 16gb. It was all working fine at the beginning, but suddenly one day after ~2 months since I bought the pc, I got blue screen and I couldn't use the computer anymore, unless I removed 1 ram from the slots. The ram I'm using are the Corsair CML16GX3M4X1600C8, which I later found out they weren't on the list of the compatible rams of my mobo, but they are still working fine even now, even though I'm using 3/4 of them. My question is: I'm going to replace the motherboard (since it's the one defected) with a cheap Asus Z77-A, but what could have caused this problem?
1) My motherboard was defected by the start
2) These ram caused the problem
3) A bad OC ruined my mobo (I remember using the auto tune option which somehow put my rams on 1600+ even though my cpu only works with 1333)
4) They are quadrichannel and my system only supports dual channel
I'm asking this because I don't want another motherboard to be ruined for no reason and if I have to buy another pair of rams (which I can't because they cost too much atm). Ty in advance.
