Good cpu upgrade?

My mother board is an asus M4A-78E and my current cpu is an amd phenom 9600 quad, with 4gb mushkin silverline ram, asus 7770 1gb ddr5.. my current cpu bottlenecks my gpu so what would be a good upgrade? And the CPU needs to be compatible with motherboard, I just want it so I can just plug it in and play, no bios upgrade etc.. Thanks ~

You are going to be buying used, so I suggest a Phenom 2 x4 965BE. You will need a BIOS update to use any of the "newer" (still 5 years old) CPUs that board is compatible with.

Are you sure I need to update BIOS? I don't know how to do that :(

Wow thanks! <3 In my other thread you recommended me to get a new cpu because it was bottlenecking so I am.. you are a great help! Thanks!!!!!! :) I hope I can play minecraft at 100 fps like I should now :)
