Ok basically she wants to start gaming on pc. She picked out a case and said you can do the rest basically since she knows nothing of computers haha. Basically I'm trying to figure out the best way to build this. She needs no OS. The case is the h440 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146148 $119. I would like to keep the price low but still be able to play some higher end games at 1080p at around medium/high settings. OH OH I almost forgot, the case is going to be being modded and I'm trying to get some color coordination. Its going to end up being pink with blue leds/hardware inside.

An H97 board can't overclock, so that K series i5 is pointless.

This would sere you better in my opinion.

Actually, H97/B85/H81 with a bios update can now overclock, according to asus and a few other companies which have implemented overclocking in budget boards.
