Graphics card problem

I recently got a new graphics card and processor. Currently, the problem is that when I install the graphics card driver and restart. The graphics have changed but I only see the desktop wallpaper. Control alt del gives me a black screen

My graphics card is a GeForce gtx 770(MSI). I installed the drivers from the website and also tried to drivers from the disk they provided. As for the system restore, would that mean just setting the computer back to a date when it worked. If so I have done that already by uninstalling the drivers in safe mode.

It runs fine without the graphic drivers but the graphic quality is a lot poorer. For my build though; M5497 motherboard(asus), AMD fx 8 processor (FX 8350), GeForce gtx 770( msi)
