im getting some really bad stuttering in games. im just wondering what is causing it. ive tried a different gpu, hard drive, psu and none of them has fixed it. the reason I think its my cpu is because when I do the perfoverlay.drawgraph 1 command on bf4 whenever the games stutters it shows a massive cpu spike. also all temps seem to be fine im looking to replace whatever is causing it and I think it might be my cpu. any help is appreciated!
specs
amd fx8320 stock speeds
gt640
hyperx 1866 MHz ram
coolermaster 750w psu
biostar ta970
Seagate 1tb hybrid drive

That CPU should do just fine for your gaming, even BF4, but the chipset on the mobo is pretty old tech (in the computer world) and not the best with the AMD 8 cores, plus your video card is pretty much a low-end video card trying to run a very demanding game and is probably bottlenecking your CPU. See if you can borrow a friends 660 or 750Ti or 760 to see if that makes a difference.
But you are correct to NOT trust the CPU; recently dealt with a forum thread where it actually turned out to be a bad CPU. Pretty rare. I would contact AMD support and see what they have to say if my other suggestions or those from other forum members don't solve the problem.

thanks guys for such fast responses. anyway I bought the parts for this computer as a combo deal on new egg and original it came with an r7260x. it had really bad stuttering issues and also wouldn't accept updating the driver. the screen would turn black and not come back on. so I switched to the gt640 and it still stuttered but it didn't seem to be as bad as the r7260x. also on bf4 the settings I play onn are 1600 by 900 low settings

so I got a chance to switch out my CPU. switched it out with an amd fx8150 ,the stuttering sseemed to kind of decrease especially in warface but CPU spikes are still there in battlefield 4. also switch out my RAM but again still stuttering, thinking about just buying a new motherboard and graphics card and go from there
