Upgrading Graphics Card

Looking to possibly upgrade a few components to my computer. Most likely my graphics card, as I have just recently purchased a Samsung LED 1080p 240Hz Smart 3D HDTV, and wish to maximize its use. Wanting to get any insight as I'm not particular knowledgeable with Graphic Cards.

My computer currently has:
OS: Windows 7 SP1
CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 640
RAM: 4GB Dual Channel DDR3
Graphics: 1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 430

My computer is a IBUYPOWER i300 series, which I purchased a few years ago. Am I wrong in thinking a Quad core processor & 4 GB RAM is still decent enough still? Or should I also look to upgrade either one of these?

Also - I checked my power supply, it was listed as having a max 450 wattage.

Thanks ahead of time.
