I flashed the ASUS P5KPLAMSE mobo and i got an error in the middle of the process so i rebooted and got this

Boot Block Compatible Version Ver.008
Please do NOT Insert any disc into CD-ROM or Floppy drive
if you want to recovery with an USB device.
Bad BIOS Checksum, Starting BIOS Recovery...
Checking For CD-ROM...
CD-ROM not Found!
Checking FOR USB device
USB Device not found!

this was going on in a loop. so I plugged the Flash drive (8GB FAT32) with the ROM file in it and got something like this

USB Device found
Reading "P5KPLAMS.ROM"
file "P5KPLAMS.ROM" not found in usb!

but it was there, so after a bit of googling the file inside the Flash drive has to match the "P5KPLAMS" name so i renamed it and went for it again and got stuck at this

USB Device found
Reading "P5KPLAMS.ROM".

Im stuck here, it seems that the mobo already saw that the correct ROM file is in the USB but it just stays at reading it.

the speaker of my mobo is busted so i cant hear any beeps if it already hanged and I'm using an 8GB usb stick where i placed the ROM file.

Im stuck at this recovery section and cant seem to restore the original one either, tried removing the CMOS battery and doing that CMOS jumper thing to clear it but still I think the bios got corrupted and I want to reflash it using the updated one in my USB stick but it just gets stuck at reading the file. I know its supposed to say after reading the file
Start erasing...
Start Programming...
Please Restart to get system back

but then yeah. it just stops at the reading file line. What do I do? Am I using a Large usb? thanks in advance for the Help.

I'm not sure if i'm able to find the original bios file online I checked their website and it only has the updated one that fixes the CPU fan speed. which I downloaded and placed on my USB

Greetings froggenstein,

Make sure to properly flash approriate UEFI version. Download UEFI version 0603 and extract the file to a fat formatted usb stick. Then navigate in bios to the tools menu and use the EZflash utility to do the flash. Let your system update the firmware as needed. Do not power down even if your system sits with a blank screen for 10 minutes or so. When updating your UEFI please make sure to wait for the firmware to update after the board restarts following the flash. This can take a couple of minutes after the board restarts. The board should be left alone during this process.

You can locate the BIOS .cap file on ASUS Online Help Desk:
