No sound, please help

My Mother board is - Gigabyte 970a ud3p

And when i put the mother board disc in i installed all of it and got some VIA hd audio deck. When i plug my headphones in they are recognized because this will appear- http://puu.sh/azMk9/b2616e2a97.jpg
But i have no sound. These also show a problem-

What is going on? This is a new comptuer btw but earlier after the OS updates i could at least see a few devices and stuff like my mic, now i see nothing... Please help me get sound

After you built the system, did you install all the drivers and any necessary utilities like THX audio from the CD that came with the motherboard (in the box)

Are you plugging your headphones in the front audio or back audio?

front, the back doesnt work at all it doesnt work with the program i guess or something.

Do you have the HD Audio cable plugged in correctly to your MOBO?

i am not sure. when i redownloaded the driver and restarted my computer i seen no x on the speaker, i looked at play back devices seen speaker etc, the second i plugged them in and selected headphones it all disappeared.

There is an HD Audio cable that runs from the front of the case and you plug it into the mob usually on the bottom left. The cable will say HD Audio and AC 97 on it. Make sure you plug in the cable HD Audio

ok i have the HD audio cable plugged into "F audio" or something like that, and then theres that ac97 what ever on it hanging away from the mobo.

i have tried both with restarting, the back do not work, the front do not work. when i plug into the back it has the problems as the front does but it also has new ones cuz the audio driver panel thing pops up asking this - http://puu.sh/azOjU/e709acb390.png

put your cd in that came with the mobo and install the correct audio drivers from the cd

i have but when i click info on the audio deck it shows a different version...

delete the existing drivers and reload from the CD. Using Gigabyte I think the drivers are under utilies on the CD

I installed it, i opened the menu from the disc, clicked install, it installed then said competed restart computer etc.., when i restarted and went to the audio deck what ever its called and clicked info it shows the old driver http://puu.sh/azOxo/17a425f199.jpg
