This is my first PC build so bare with me.
Right now my system is a
Cooler master haf xb (Case)
HP Narra5
AMD Athlon X4 645(best CPU for motherboard)
ASUS GTX 770
60gb Samsung SSD
Corsair 750w power supply

I know my motherboard is ancient. I want to go with a intel i7 4th gen. I want a motherboard that SLI ready and has lots of pcie x1 slots. For capture card and other things in the future. I would also like 3 or 4 Sata 3 connectors and the more fan connectors the better. Also I trying to use this system for gaming. Mostly Arma 2 CO/Dayz/bf4. My CPU is bottlenecking my gtx 770. Only get 30 frames barely on servers with no lag. So what motherboard should I get? I've been looking at the asus z97 pro. Let me know if I'm on the right track.

The HP Narra5 http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/kb/docDisplay/?javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.prp_ba847bafb2a2d782fcbb0710b053ce01=wsrp- is a micro ATX. So you need to replace it with another to be able to fit it into your case. Unless you want to buy another case.

A Micro ATX will only let you fit one graphics card.

No need to go with i7. An i5 4690k would be OK for gaming. You could pair that with a mATX Z97 board

I have bought another case(Cooler Master HAF XB EVO) I've decided I'm going to get the ASUS Z87 Deluxe for all the PCIs, PCIEs, Sata Connectors, M.2 and, Fan headers. For CPU I'm going with the Intel 4790 because I record and edit gaming and need the extra performance for background apps while gaming. Do you have any opinion on the ASUS Deluxe X87?
