Hi everyone, i am looking for a graphics card that can run battlefield 4 on high at 60fps and no less even in the craziest of situations. For example: operation metro with 64 players.
My Build
CPU: AMD FX-4130 3.0Hz Quad-core
Motherboard: MSI 970A-G46 ATX AM3+
Memory (RAM): Corsair Dominator 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600
Case: Antec GX700 ATX mid tower
Power supply: Corsair 430W ATX12v
Thanks in advance let me know if i need any upgrades to suit the graphics card
PS: my budget is anything under 650$

More about : graphics card run bf4 high 60fps

nvidia gtx 770 and up

i play with gtx 780 ultra 60 fps locked.

these cards for resolutions 1900 x1080 the more the resolution you might experience less dips.

I would go with the amd as Battlefield 4 has mantle support
r9 290x

To remove bottleneck i have added 6300
and an Antec 850w Power supply

This rig is an overkill

BF4 does not require that much graphic. The minimum would be R9 270 since I have that and runs around 55fps on ultra settings. But with your $650 budget, your very optimal solution is to buy 2 R9 270 and crossfire them because they give you more performance than R9 290 since it sits in between that and R9 290X for 2/3 of the price. And invest the rest into a power supply with money left over.

But remember, if you choose to use one card then R9 280X is your only choice since buying an R9 290 + new PSU will easily overbudget, unless you can get your hands on a visiontek or PowerColor card on sale which is cheapest out of all the brands. But if you want to overclock, then they may not be your most optimal quality.

With your computer specs, the FX 4130 is more than enough to run it. I use a Phenom II 955 black edition overclocked at 3.6 and it runs really smooth and since FX line > Phenom. At 430W, it might be too low if you are overclocking both GPU and CPU. The standard cheap cards like R9 270, which you can get for $170 requires minimum 500w, so i would invest into getting something around ~600-750w so you can leave headroom to upgrade in the future.

Mantle only removes the bottleneck if it has any on the CPU. But the FX 4130 doesn't require the need as it has more than enough power to run it. I use R9 270 with Phenom and Mantle itself don't improve FPS at all.

I second the r9 270. Even with dx11, the r9 270 will give you a nice frame rate.

With your budget though, get a r9 280x + XFX 650w. It'll probably total to ~350$, but the r9 280x would be able to run ultra 30fps+ on other games as well depending on whatever else you might be interested in playing.

R9 280X runs ultra at 30fps??? You mean 60fps lol. But R9 280X isn't that cheap though. You can buy 2 R9 270s with that price since 270 averages around $170 and a R9 280X is around $400. He is going to need a new PSU anyway so might as well invest in something that gives you more stream processors per $$ = better performance.

I previouslyt had a GTX 660 Superclocked, and i could playt at 60 fps while recording in 1080p. It is cheap only like $170 I think. Although it is a bit old I would recomend a newer card like an R9 280x or something. The GTX 760, is basically a rebranded GTX 670. So it is still better than the GTX 660. Hope I helped.

A single GTX 760/GTX 670 would be the minimum you're aiming for.

The r9 280x is ~300$. (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/sapphire-video-card-100363...)

As for frame rate, there are games that are horribly optimized, mainly more toward the MMOs side, but I'm including them into the thing. Some of those games don't even give 30fps in ultra even with a decent system.
