All will easily exceed your 16m bandwidth. 802.11ac will only benefit you if your end devices also have 802.11ac nic cards in them and then only for streaming or file transfer between devices within your house. Even old 802.11g is faster than your internet connection so if all your content is coming from the internet you will not see a lot of difference between routers....that does not mean I recommend you buy or even use 802.11g stuff.

Both streaming and gaming are extremely dependent on a very stable error free data stream. They generally are not real bandwidth intensive they just need consistent latency and no packet loss. Wireless is the worst option for both these application. It is not so much the routers that make the...

Both streaming and gaming are extremely dependent on a very stable error free data stream. They generally are not real bandwidth intensive they just need consistent latency and no packet loss. Wireless is the worst option for both these application. It is not so much the routers that make the difference. If you have little wireless interference in your house wireless will work very well but if you are in area with lots of neighbors also using wireless you can have major issue with these type of applications. Downloading is not affect as much so you would see a large increase in speed using 802.11ac to copy files between machine in your house even with interference over 802.11n in general.

Best wireless is almost impossible to answer because in most cases you are really asking which house has the best wireless.

A added point. The router you have listed as your current router is DSL be sure you look at models that have a DSL modem in them unless you plan to use another device to act as a dsl modem.

I want a router that won't shutdown, I read about these dual band that carry 2 signals so it won't overheat and shut down so do you any suggestion, btw thanks for pointing out the DSL thing I didn't know about this, can you tell me what do you think of this is it better than my router and most probably am going to use some ethernet ports no only wifi or is my router just fine?

You would hope no router would actually fail especially due to heat. To a point you would think it would be the reverse with 2 radios it is running 2 times the energry and generating 2 times the heat. I doubt it is just the radio chip that was overheating. If that one failed it would work fine for wired traffic but not wireless. If the router is completely going down it would much more be likely the CPU chip had a issue but it is impossible to guess it could be some silly resistor in a power circuit killing everything.

All I can suggest is you go to some large site like newegg or amazon and count the number of reviews that say the device overheats and fails for each model of router you are looking at. I suspect this is a very rare thing for any product. Most the complaints I have seen are software type crashes related to firmware bugs and most times are resolved by loading the correct patch level.
