Have I chosen components that fit together well for my PC build?

Hello! I'm new.

I'm wondering if I've picked the right components for each other, or if I'm not taking advantage of their capacity with this build, i. e. is there some bus-speed that'll act as a botle neck, or is the RAM or CPU I've picked going to slow things down or anything like that.

I've allready bought a motherboard (Intel DZ87KLT-75K Z87 S-1150), a CPU (intel core i5 4440), and a big, bulky full tower case.

Now I'm thinking about buying 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3-1600 DC 8GB CMY8GX3M2A1600C9B for memory, and a Kingston SSDnow v300 120GB for storage. I'm also buying a 600W non-modular PSU (I've got more than enough room for cable management). I'm postponing buying the optical drive for last, as it seems less vital to the other components, and I'll install my linux partition from a live USB anyway.

More about : chosen components fit build

I would get a different SSD (I would suggest the samsung 840 EVO). Also what graphics card are you getting?

I'd also get a big HDD 1 TB. You probably won't even need an OD.

For the PSU, try and pick one from 1, 2 or 2b here. https://community.newegg.com/eggxpert/computer_hardware... (just in case you didn't know)

Two last things, what are you using it for, and have you looked at a dGPU?

OK.
The motherboard allready has integrated graphics, so I'm content with that to begin with (unless you tell me not to be). I'm waiting until I've had time to read about GPU's to buy one. I know very little about them. Have you got any sugguestions? I want to play games eventually, so I'll probably need one.

I'm using it for studies, watching videos, streaming TV-series, listening to music, playing games, learning about different operating systems and installing all of them. I'm getting a big storage HDD too. I have not looked at dGPU, but I will now.

After looking at the link, I'm thinking somethin in the lines of a cheap ocz 550W.

I don't know what visualization is. And would it be possible to purchase more memory later on, as an upgrade, or does that crash with anything? Like, does the RAM need to be of the same kind to funktion, or come in a set?

The RAM should have the same serial number. Visualization is when you run OSes inside another OS, using supervisors like VMware or Oracle VirtualBox (probably spelt wrong by me).

Oh, right. I actually think I'm going to have some fun with VirtualBox. I'll get 16GB RAM, then?
Thank you!

In summary, my new build will look like this:

Mother board - Intel DZ87KLT-75K Z87 S-1150
Processor - intel core i5 4440
RAM - 16 GB with matching serial numbers
Graphics Card - GTX 800 series, so I'll be waiting until november, and take advantage of the PCI-e 3.0 in my motherboard.
Storage SSD - samsung 840 EVO (I'm still going for the 120GB)
Storage HDD - 1 TB for starters
PSU - I'll choose one from the newegg-forum-list that Alpha3031 posted (OCZ ZS 550W, maybe)

This build will be able to run most any games, virtual maskines, or other programs I'm likely to use, and it will be faster than anything I've ever worked with before.

Thanks a bunch, Alpha! And Nuckles too!
