Pentium D 915 stock cooler

Solution
Thats pretty good, when your overclocking I would try to keep the voltage close to stock and I don't like to let temps get above 60c. TCase starts at 63c. I don't see any mention of the TJmax on intels website so just keep it below 60c.
I doubt you'd get enough performance out of such an old chip to even justify spending the time on it. Stock coolers aren't made for overclocking and if its a prebuilt PC you can forget it. They locked down and aren't meant to take the heat or be put under that kind of stress.

What motherboard do you have? You could always invest in a TX3/212+ for 20-30 bucks depending on case and budget. Is your motherboard capable of overclocking is the better question. Also are you using prime95 to get load temps?
