okay so, I'm planning a pc build. probably for gaming but other things too and i was wondering where to start building from. should i build around the processor or tower? some suggestions on hardware and what kinds are good and bad. budget tops out around 1000-1100

Usually in that budget you would get a 4690k, a z97 based motherboard and as much video card as you can afford while balancing that out with the storage you want, cooler if you are going to overclock any and case that you find looks nice and fits your gear.

Check this build. i started with CPU and GPU in my mind :)
