I have already begun purchasing parts; I want this thing built by the end of next week.

Budget Range: I have spent $200 and am ready to spend another $1800

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, gaming, gaming

Are you buying a monitor: Yes. I am not looking for anything crazy awesome, but I would like to appreciate the new build in all its glory.

Parts to Upgrade: I have already purchased a full-size ATX case and a 250 Gb SSD. I need a motherboard, CPU, PSU, RAM, and (a) GPU(s) < Is SLI/XFire the best way to go?

Do you need to buy OS: No, I have access to a fresh copy of Windows 7 Pro

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Love that NewEgg, and my super awesome friend who is writing this has ShopRunner, but no real preference

Overclocking: Maybe, if I can learn how to do that

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe (see above on Parts)

Your Monitor Resolution: The best I can get. That's in your hands.

Here is a build for you. It is only 1400 but I guess since it will DEFINITELY be able to run every game you throw at it on ultra/high then saving 400 dollars is good.

I'm not good with PSUs so if someone could tell me if 600w is good enough, please do, haha.

Anyways, here is a description of every part

  • CPU: The i7 is great, obviously. Basically the best CPU you can get right now. This CPU is Overclockable if you ever want to do that.

Motherboard: Again, great for OCing. The z97 is another go-to gaming part.

RAM: 8GB is good enough for every game, and unless you plan on doing hardcore editing work or something, this is fine.

Storage: 1TB HDD to go with your SSD.

Video Card: This card is AMAZING. It will, as said above, run everything on ultra.

PSU: Again, as stated above, I don't know if this will suffice for your build.

Monitor: One of the best monitors money can buy in my opinion. It has great custom reviews, too. 1920x1080 is fine and 144hz will run games so well.
