Thermal Compound ?

Does thermal Compound ever become not useable? like does it go bad?

Not if you keep the top on.

If you are talking about when it is in service, yes. It dries out over time with age and heat.

As long as you keep the cap on and keep it in at room temp, it will last almost forever.
