Which is simpler to upgrade: AMD or Nvidia

Hey,
As I shop for an entry-level GPU, I thought about the future and how I'll probably want a better GPU someday. I don't want to buy a new mobo in a couple years just for a new GPU.

Example: I've read here that Intel CPUs are easier to upgrade, where you can put a new i5 or i7 in an older i3 slot. Is this true for either Nvidia or AMD graphics cards, or both?

Hopefully the question makes sense. Thanks for your time!

you cannot put a new i5 in an old i5 slot 4th generation i5 requires lga 1150 socket 2nd and 3rd gen requires lga 1155 socket and 1st gen lga 1156 .....and u dont need to worry about cards you can either buy nvidia or amd card with any board u like.....but for a good gpu u have to upgrade your psu u can keep your motherboard..

Ok, seems that either GPU works, and only CPU is the issue.

May I ask if anyone agrees or disagrees with this advice?

"3) Intel's upgrade path is much better than AMD's. For example, if you buy a i3 now, you can upgrade to a i5 or i7 at a later time."

yes if u buy an i3 4th generation haswell then u can upgrade it later to an i5 or i7 (lga 1150 socket)of the same generation because they have same sockets...... but you cannot use the same motherboard which supports 4th gen processor for the 5th gen processor(if they change the socket) ...and Intel is cooler than amd..
