So, I know that there are a lot of posts on this topic, but I haven't been able to get anything to work. I just got a new laptop and copied the old data onto an EVO SSD. Because the HD from the new laptop is 1TB and and my old laptop only has 500 GB, I now want to switch them out. So, I figured I would just clear the OS (Windows 8) from the 1TB HD and copy the 500 GB HD over. I have been able to clear everything but the OS from the 1TB HD, what do I do now?

Oh and I have downloaded, "Secure Eraser" and "Eraser" to do the initial HD wipe. Not sure if these can be used to further help me clear the OS. I tried changing permissions to be able to edit/ delete everything but still having issues!
