I have a Hp V75, and, yes, I have read many other threads with this exact same problem, but none of the solutions have seem to work...
My computer runs on Windows 7 and what's left of Windows XP.

What happens:
My HP V75 Computer moniter turns on and goes to a black screen with a flashing line/underscore.
The computer starts up normally, like always, with the Hp sign showings and the options, (Boot Menu //Esc\\, Setup //F1\\ and System recovery //F10\\)) after that it makes a noise like it's shuting off and the screen goes blank with a flashing line/underscore in the left-hand, top corner.
I've tried pressing F1 //Setup\\ and F10 //System recovery\\, but none of them work other than Esc //Boot menu\\ and when I click Esc, it brings me to a blue page that says, "Boot Menu. ==Select a Boot First device=="
The first option, which says "HDD Group" and holds a another file, works when I click on it.
The second one doesn't work and brings me back to the black screen with the flashing line/underscore.
Anyway, back to the first option, "HDD Group", it takes me to a page that says windows stopped working and they were sorry for the event.
It then gives me the option to go the all the Safe Modes, Start windows normally, or go to the 'Last Known Good Configuration (Your most recent setting that worked.)'
However, none of them seem to work as my computer always to do something like it's turning off, brings me back to the start up page with the Hp sign and all the options, before going back to the black screen with the flashing line/underscore.
The monitor should be working fine since it has all the wirings it needs and has been working fine since we got it.

Extra:
We also have a Hp Pavilion a1200e for the computer that has everything and works fine, since it doesn't show anything wrong and nothing much has ever happened to it.
I have messed with the wiring by unplugging some, and then putting them back a bit after.

(Also, I am aware that this computer is many years old and that being such a old computer, there is a chance that may be affecting it, but I have another computer that is /Much/ older than it and works perfectly fine."

I looked up hp v75 and I got CRT monitors. If you are refering to the monitor then yes, it is working fine. However, the pc itself may have problems. the flashing underscore usually means it's reading your hard drive. Could be that your windows installation is corrupt.

Is there any possible way of fixing the corruption? Like maybe with a disk?

actually there is. Insert your windows 7 installation disc and boot into it. click repair my computer. Then, Start-up repair.

What do I do if this doesn't work? And/Or I don't have the specific disk anymore considering I have more than one Windows 7 disk...

you don't need a specific disk. Just any wndows 7 install disk would work.

Is there a possibility that this may delete some of the files/memory or maybe all of it?
Especially if I use a newer one?

no. It will just modify windows files. not personal files.
