So I just installed my corsair h100i and then I overclocked my intel i5 4670k to 4.2ghz. I installed corsair link 2 and also corsair link 1 (which im not sure which one im suppose to use but im assuming 2) and it says that my h100i fan 3 and 4 are at 0 rpm. I looked inside my case and saw that all my fans are running. I downloaded the latest software and still i get the same problem. I'm alittle surprised at how loud the water cooler is even though i replaced the stock fans with noctua nf-12 fans. I'm thinking maybe since corsair link 2 says 2 of my fans are at 0 rpm the other fans have to pickup the loud and work harder.

The second thing is that my cpu temp is around 60-70 C on average even when im just surfing the web. Its under no load and was expecting temperatures to be around 30-50 range. Any suggestions of what I should do is greatly appreciated.

If you use the link I gave you just select corsair link and the only option is the latest version 2.6.5214,somewhere on their forum site is also a beta driver but I would not bother with that. I use 2.6.5214,when 1st got my h100i I loaded the driver from the disk which was 2.4.4511 or something like that which gave me faulty fans speeds and sometimes would show the pump as 0000rpm and incorrect cpu temp I then loaded 2.6.5214 which corrected all that but every now and then a 3.3v warning would come up in the bottom right of my screen "3.3v running at 5.9v warning" but it was totally random sometimes the pc could be on for hours before it did that and sometimes it did it after about 20 min. I knew it was reporting back wrong as I had...

Hi,

When you say you are running corsair link 2 you mean your running driver 2.65214,you can see your driver version by going to corsair link and clicking on option and then on about and if you click on devices you should see what is connected to you corsair cooler. I`m running a fx8350 and before that driver version I was getting a temp reading for my cpu of 7-15 c and when I installed driver 2.65214 it updated my firmware, has this been the case for you? and I think it also works on pvm and requires fans with 4 wires.

Well theres two different kinds of corsair link, theres the corsair link #1 and then #2. For the corsair link #1 I have 2.5.5145 and for corsar link #2 i have 2.1.1 , so basically I dont think I have the latest version. Also I didnt get an updated firmware. It's hard to find the latest software when its nearly impossible to find the corsair link download page on google -_-

I had a problem with the new driver when I updated,it kept flashing up voltage warnings but this was fixed by accident I had an issue with starforce driver for a game which stopped my anti virus running at start up so I reloaded the O.S. and just used the latest driver from then on and it works fine now, should you have this problem I would post on the corsair site to see if they have a clean tool or anything to remove old drivers. I know they now about it but I`m not sure if they know that it seems to be caused by the new driver after and older version,it just does it when it feels like it completely random.

Oh ok so you use corsair link #1 not #2? For the one you gave me (corsair link #1) it shows my cpu, videocard, hdd, and ssd, but it doesnt show my water pump or fans. When I use corsar link #2 it shows the things that corsair link #1 doesnt have, but doesnt show what corsair link #1 has. kinda like they should be combined into one.

I knew it was reporting back wrong as I had tested the psu and just lived with it and then when I was trying to get GTR to load on my pc the startforce driver stopped my anti virus starting at start up so when I reloaded the O.S. I just download the 2.6.5214 and used it from the get go. I`m not suggesting you reload you O.S.just giving you a heads up if it starts doing that to you not to panic

Ok I did exactly what you did and so far i think it works! What I did was i uninstalled both of my corsair link #1 and #2. At first I installed the 2.4.4511 also and it was alittle faulty and it was showing me fans that I didnt even have on my case (corsair h100i fan #3 & #4). I then installed the 2.6.5214 and now those additional fans that were randomly shown on my case are gone. Now I'm able to see all my temps and rpms. Right now my cpu is running at 50-60C which is still alittle hot for my liking, but maybe thats because im overclocking it to 4.2 ghz. Thank you so much for your help!!
